SASA Interiors Group Operations Manager

DURATION: 24 MONTHS CONTRACT
Reporting to the Group Managing Director and indirectly to the shareholders.

Main Purpose of the Job
To grow the business by facilitating the smooth functioning of a design team by overseeing and improving the processes, tools, and
methodologies used.

POSITION PREREQUISITES

Qualification:
Diploma or Bachelors’ Degree in Business Administration or related field. Diploma or Bachelors’ Degree in Interior Design/ Project Management will be an added advantage.

Experience:
Minimum of seven (7) years post qualification professional experience, with multifunctional leadership experience. Proven experience in a similar operational management role, preferably within the interior design or building construction. Experience in leading teams and implementing strategy at departmental level.

Responsibilities

Finance

  • Oversee budgeting and financial planning, including profit & loss analysis.
  • Accountable for the long-term growth and profitability by leading the company’s strategic thrust to secure business growth
  • Develop and lead in the implementation of operation strategies aligned with the company’s overall objectives, including production targets, resource allocation, and process improvements.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components. Monitor inventory levels, optimize procurement processes, and mitigate supply chain risks to support uninterrupted production.

Design Studio

  • Promote the Sasa’s Vision and values by demonstrating a hands on approach in the planning, leading, organizing and control of this aspect.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Encourage and ensure that design solutions stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Encourage innovation and creativity within the studio.
  • Manage throughput for the Interior Design team; prioritize design projects across markets, own the design queue, and track Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
  • Assists the Group Managing Director in managing the day to day operations of Sasa

Project Management

  • Oversee and manage daily operations, including project scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management.
  • Ensure overall quality and consistency by establishing and enforcing quality standards, conducting quality inspections, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate collaboration across departments to ensure clear allocation of tasks, alignment and streamlining of processes and cooperation and effective cross functional communication between teams.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies and develop solutions to address them effectively.
  • Manages existing performance contracts and assists in the compiling of tenders for new business.
  • Project manage a broad array of Interior Design projects and initiatives (e.g., large installations, hotels, new market launches)
