Reporting to the Actuarial Manager.

Main Purpose of the Job
The role requires a technically thorough individual, who will be responsible for providing actuarial support by carrying out research and calculations to help assess and manage financial risk. They analyses data, prepare reports and presentations, and may help design and administer pension and insurance plans.

POSITION PREREQUISITES

Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.

Experience:
Minimum of Actuarial Science or a related field and at least 1-2 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out product development activities: product specifications write-up and product training
  • Ensure new product specifications comply with relevant regulations.
  • Ensure the developed products are correctly configured, through system testing, in the Life Administration and Quotation Systems.
  • Review Data as required for valuation.
  • Ensure that the commission calculations are correctly calculated
  • Ensure that the reinsurance premium calculations, as per the treaties, are correctly calculated
  • Annuity Death Benefits Calculations
  • Preparing Investment statements
  • Preparing Group quotations
  • Assisting in the preparation of weekly and monthly product analysis
  • Review procedures in view of continuously improving the service levels
