Our client in the life insurance industry, Bona Life, is looking for a Information Technology & Security Analyst to join our growing team.


INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (IT) & SECURITY ANALYST

Reporting to: Chief Operations Officer (COO)

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To maintain the company’s information systems, ensuring they are effective and reliable. The role oversees all technical aspects of the company, including software and hardware, network security, project management, and internet operations.

POSITION PREREQUISITES

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology (IT) with demonstrable experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years post-qualification experience in information technology and security, preferably in the insurance industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate IT support, training, and orientation for new technology users.
  • Ensure efficient and effective technology and internet access for a group of users.
  • Organize troubleshooting or repair when necessary for IT equipment.
  • Oversee information security and maintain network and user security through hardware/software installation and education.
  • Implement an IT budget for the organization or specific departments.
  • Track inventory and status of hardware and software across the organization.
  • Establish relationships with technology vendors.
  • Advise on IT equipment, networking, and connectivity needs, and oversee purchases of products, parts, and services.
  • Supervise IT department staff, including setting schedules, implementing training, and assessing performance.
  • Manage third-party service providers in support, installation, networks, and purchases.
  • Work with human resources colleagues to identify staff IT needs.
  • Develop emergency plans for equipment, power, or security failures, disaster recovery, and business continuity to preserve technology and data.
  • Implement IT initiatives and projects.
  • Specialize in IT needs for the insurance industry, such as policies, processes, procedures, and claims.
  • Research and stay up to date on new IT equipment and solutions.
