Our client in the life insurance, Bona Life requires an analytical, dynamic, and experienced individual who will play a pivotal role in driving sustainable growth and operational efficiency of the company as the Human Capital Business Partner (HCBP), reporting to the Chief Executive Officer

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The role requires a sound individual, who is responsible deliver an effective, efficient, and professional day-to-day HR service that covers the whole of the employee lifecycle. This is an executive and operational, generalist role that supports, develops, and advises line managers and employees on people processes and employee relations matters.

POSITION PREREQUISITES

Qualification: Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resources/ Industrial Psychology or related field.

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years post qualification experience in human resources, of which at least 3 years should have been served as a senior human resources officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Human Resources Strategy;

  • Communicate and implement company’s HR strategy, priorities, and annual plan.
  • Assist with the design, development and updating of all company’s HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with HRstrategy, employment law and best practice.

General Human Resource Advice

  • Provide pragmatic and expert advice and support to employees and line managers, delivering the highest quality service to the company
  • Ensuring compliance with Bona Life’s HR policies and relevant employment legislation.
  • Manage the Performance Management process, system, reporting and advise line managers on issues relating to Performance Management.

Recruitment

  • Provide expert advice on the preparation of job descriptions including the person specification.
  • Support and conduct selection interviews when required.

Employee Relations

  • Be the first point of contact for expert advice to line managers and employees on employee relations issues, such as grievances and

disciplinary.

  • Assist managers in undertaking formal investigations, offering guidance support, and advice in line with policies and procedures and best practice.
  • Support managers implementing change programs in line with company’s policies and employment legislation.
  • Provide employee welfare support in a confidential, sensitive, and appropriate way.

Learning & Development

  • Deliver effective training and coaching sessions to line managers to improve their knowledge, skill, confidence and coordinate annual training plan.
  • Provide training, briefings and guidance to employees as required (e.g., employment policies and procedures, performance-related issues, and best practice).

Human Resource Business Partnering

  • Understanding the strategic needs of the company
  • Tweaking and aligning HR strategy to meet business needs
  • Identifying talent needs for different business units and creating an appropriate strategy to meet talent requirements
